INSURANCE for ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture with all other Insurance Providers

NoteToSelf Wellness does not accept insurance for Independence Blue Cross (IBX), Blue Cross Blue Shield (Keystone, Highmark and Horizon), Cigna, United Healthcare or any insurance provider other than Aetna.

For those who have acupuncture covered with these health insurance providers, you can book a standard acupuncture treatment and we will provide you with a SuperBill upon request, to assist you with submitting a claim directly to your insurance company.  

Acupuncture with Aetna

Acupuncture with Aetna Insurance must be booked with Pier Derrickson, LAc as the provider.  You may also add Tui Na massage or cupping to your acupuncture treatment for additional therapeutic benefits.

Insurance Billing Guidelines

Aetna Insurance plans vary, and acupuncture benefits are determined by your individual policy. If your plan includes acupuncture coverage, we will bill your insurance provider directly for eligible services. You will be responsible for any applicable co-payments, deductibles, coinsurance, or non-covered amounts at the time of service.

What Insurance Covers for Acupuncture
